SDSS-III will continue the SDSS's tradition of making its data available to the public, and creating learning activities for different audiences using the data.

The popular SkyServer website will host SDSS-III data, and we will create lesson plans for K-12 and college science classes there. We will also continue to support a variety of informal education activities developed by scientists and EPO professionals.

As technology evolves, we will explore new avenues of public outreach such as podcasting and social networking.
